Requirements
A Systems Administrator will be responsible for a variety of things. As the job responsibilities grow and/or
skills increase, one may be promoted to higher tiers for career advancement. Every Tiered structure
represents competencies in the former levels of advancement. For example, a Systems Admin Level 3 should
be fully competent to take on the role of a Systems Admin Level 2 and Level 1 in the event that coverage is
needed within the department. The specifics listed below are not comprehensive and additional duties may be
assigned out by department management as needed.


Systems Admin Level 1: Entry-level position.
• Assists with the creation and triaging of tickets
• Answering helpdesk calls
• Setting up users
• Managing the resolution of level-1, helpdesk, and urgent tickets as they come in
• This position might require being on call
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Documentation of position workflows or new systems in department “wiki”

Summary
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of
time; frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling and stretching is
necessary to assist in the movement and repositioning equipment and devices. The employee must exert 10- 20
pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.
Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and
hearing to normal range.
