JOB PROFILE: Electrician / Instrumentation Technician I/II


SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENTS:

The Electrical & Instrument Technician supports Plant Operations with electrical, instruments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of process operations and facility equipment with an additional focus on Safety, predictive and preventative maintenance.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical systems including, but not limited to: generators, PLC’s, DCS,
electric motors, motor controls, flow equipment, heating and exhaust systems and relays.
• Ability to read and interpret ladder diagrams, loop diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Must have experience working with 3 phase power (up to 480 volt).
• Prefer experience in a broad range of VFD’s, SCR’s, zero speed switches, proportional control valves.
• This position requires excellent analytical, management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• E&I Technician is responsible for promoting and conforming with company, state and federal safety regulations and
codes ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of the company and its employees.
• Although the Electrician / Instrumentation Tech must be able to work independently with little direction, they must
be able to take direction and maintain a team-oriented environment with other departments and the management
team.
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule as well as work inside and outside the facility; position requires
flexibility in break schedules from time to time.
• Will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of all processing and packaging equipment.

Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE /SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Associates degree in Electrical / Electronic or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial
Electrical Environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair all equipment and test for correct results without direct supervision.
• Must be able to calibrate measuring devices such as transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.
• Must understand and evaluate logic circuits, PLC and DCS programs. (Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen
Bradley equipment preferred).
• Must be able to operate the equipment necessary to perform maintenance and calibration tasks.
• Understand and follow LOTO guidelines.
