Job Duties/Scope Of Work
This position provides project support to the Hanford Fire Department (HFD) under the Hanford Mission Essential Services Contract. The Hanford Fire Department has experienced an increase in modernization projects and is in need of an information technology project specialist to assist with the planning, organizing and performing of specialized duties in order to achieve successful completion of these projects and their deliverables.

Scope of Work:
This position will support the Hanford Fire Department providing project specialist support and will act as an information technology interface for several emergency system upgrade projects and mobile device implementations.

This position will also act on behalf of the Hanford Fire Department providing input to development teams, engineering and change boards, system inventory systems, assistance with software quality assurance documentation and more.

Other job duties include:
- Create schedules to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Coordinate activities and report back to management on the schedule of activities and estimated time to completion.
- Work in collaboration with Information Management Services, subcontractors and the customer to deliver the highest level of customer service.
- The successful candidate will also develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with the Fire Department, peers and the staff supporting the IMS organization.
- Work on and complete short turnaround assignments by exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Ensure successful delivery of customer requests on assigned tasks.
- Follow up to make sure all customer deliverables are reached within any identified time/planning constraints.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - or - an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 6+ years of well-rounded experience in the Information Technology industry with working expertise in business, applications, data, technology, security, and organizational models.
- 1+ years of IT strategic planning.
- Business & technical writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work on a team, as well as independently.
- Must be able to work under pressure.

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of IT system used and that support fire department operations or emergency management.
- Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) principles and preferably experience in the SQA environment.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security requirements.
- Knowledge of project management is desirable.

Grade 17: $92,238 - $116,213
Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075
Grade 19: $111,588 - $140,663
