We are seeking a confident and skilled individual to become responsible for the reliability of the electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation equipment of our Miami Gardens production facility and for provide support and guidance with our automation controls, PLCs, robot automation systems, and working closely with our international equipment providers to maintain maximum uptime of our facility and insure all the equipment is set up to produce high quality product.

Our preferred candidate will have proven experience in PLC logic troubleshooting, have a solid understanding of electrical equipment and related safety skills, robotics controls, computer programming, software development to PLC program processes and HMI configuration.

Position Responsibility
Responsible for the reliability of the electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment of the plant, including MV & LV Transformers, Switchgears, MCCs, Motors, Grounding System, Lighting & Lightning Systems, PLCs, HMIs,
Analyze electrical, control, instrumentation & control system failures finding the root cause of them, reducing or eliminating them and performs investigation of process deviations and anomalies related to electrical, instrumentation & automation hardware and software.
Implements hardware and software changes and upgrades on electrical, instrumentation, automation equipment. Identify and resolve long-term or chronic electrical asset concerns.
Manage projects related to design, commissioning, and performance improvement of electrical, instrumentation & automated equipment.
Work closely with plant management, machine operators, and maintenance teams to insure a streamlined and coordinated approach to preventative maintenance, spare parts management, and establish timelines for proactive work order completions.
Develop and propose preventative, predictive and third-party (OEM) maintenance plans.
Collect and analyze equipment production, batching, cycles, and maintenance histories to allow management team to investigate failures and damage and evaluate the effectiveness of preventative maintenance programs.
Assume leadership of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for major failures to ensure prevention of re-occurrence.
Drive resolution of highest impact issues with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.
Proven ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on cross functional teams.
Proven experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision, and have accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone) is required, including sometimes Holidays and Weekends

Preferred Qualifications
•Bilingual – English & Spanish for verbal communication.
•Five years of experience in electrical automation or electronics
•Five years of experience in programming of Siemens, Allan Bradley, Automation Direct, or other PLC programs used to control production lines, batch plants, and packaging robots.
•Experience working in a concrete products manufacturing plant or similar environment.
•Proven understanding of electrical regulatory and industrial standards and codes for Florida
•Proven understanding of control and instrumentation systems in an industrial manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
•Troubleshooting variable speed frequency drives for A/C and D/C motors, transformers, generators, control panel systems, electrical protection of motor in low, medium and high voltage.
•Must have proven experience in the ability to read and trace PLC logic programming & IMS programming.
•Strong knowledge of process control and machine automation
•Strong knowledge of safety procedures including Lock-Out / Tag Out systems
•Working knowledge to read equipment blueprints or engineering documentation for the factory processing equipment.
•Strong communication skills
•Computer Skills on Excel, Word, Word

Working Conditions
•While our work areas are predominately indoors, given our location in Florida you will be exposed to periods of extreme heat, noise, and occasional weather conditions when working on aggregate bins or batch plant components.
•Must wear all necessary and required protective equipment while at the location.

Physical Requirements
•Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree.
•Heavy work-exerting up to 50lbs of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or tools.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate with employees/visitors as well as function safely around forklifts.
•Must pass drug/alcohol screening.
