The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are adding a Systems Engineer to our growing Technology division. This role is composed of a variety of responsibilities including tactical, operational, and strategic activities to design, architect, secure, and manage McKinstry’s enterprise infrastructure and related IT systems. Additional responsibilities include: 
Infrastructure Environment Support 
Deliver end-to-end technology business solutions, from design to implementation across multiple technical areas and business segments. 
Possess a broad understanding of hardware and software technology and its application in the business environment including data center establishment. 
Design, architect, and manage the Windows server infrastructure, while keeping in mind the Cybersecurity policy. 
Respond to and resolve end-user service requests involving a wide range of technology systems, services, and tools. 
Implement, manage, oversee changes, monitor, and maintain Microsoft environment, including major services related to computing, storage, network, and security. 
Monitor enterprise system alerts and assist in resolving complex issues with system hardware and software. 
Performs daily and proactive maintenance on assigned systems to ensure system stability, security, and scalability. 
Implement, test, and support enterprise business continuity processes and systems. 
Conduct research into emerging technologies as they relate to assigned systems. 
Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies. 
Work with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that there is a convergence of business, technical and security requirements. 
Develop a strong working relationship with the security engineering team to develop and implement controls and configurations aligned with security policies and legal, regulatory and audit requirements. 

Continuous Improvement 
Contributes to, and maintains standard documentation for systems, processes, and tools. (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Rubrik, Pure, etc.) 
Manage production issues and incidents, and participate in problem, RCA and change management processes. 
Work with IT and business stakeholders to define metrics, monitoring, and reporting strategies that effectively communicate health of IT services. 

Communication 
Closely collaborate with IT Managers, Architects, Systems Administrators, Security Manager, and other technology staff from across the business in data and application integration. 
Be a participating member of technology team in charting initiatives, direction, and best practices across the enterprise. 
Document and report all service interruptions. 

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry 
5+ years' experience managing the Microsoft environment (AD, GPO, Windows Servers, IIS, DNS, DHCP, monitoring, etc.) 
Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure in production environments, including computing, storage, network, and security. 
Working knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and network software. 

Preferred Experience:
3+ years with automation and scripting tools. (e.g., PowerShell) 
3+ years with virtualization (e.g. VMware), SAN (e.g. Pure), and Backup/Data protection (e.g. Rubrik) technologies 
2+ years with Azure services (e.g., AAD/AD sync, oAuth, permissions, identity, protection, B2B, etc.).

The pay range for this position is $89,000 - $134,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
