As a Medical Coder, you will contribute to the company’s mission, vision, and values by reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results to apply the appropriate codes. Under the supervision of the Business Office Manager, you will be responsible for coding, researching, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
What You Will Do In This Role
Read clinical notes and documentation to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
Accurately enters data for billing purposes.
Maintains coding knowledge under the compliance guidelines for ICD-10 and CPT Codes.
Be a coding resource for other team members, such as nursing or preauthorization staff.
Assists in denials and finding solutions for denials.
Answer phones, take patient payments, and answer billing questions.
Qualifications You Will Need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
One year of college or courses in coding required.
Credentialed with AAPC or AHIMA preferred.
One or more years of working experience in a healthcare environment performing coding clerical duties, business office functions, or billing duties in a hospital or physician practice setting preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
