Job Description:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position installs and maintains the District's SCADA, radio, and other electronic systems which include all aspects of the system, hardware and software, communications and electrical systems. This position also provides operator support and training.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D., two years of technical training in instrumentation and control technology or related field, and four years of related field experience.
Knowledge required includes: 1) Principles and practices of instrumentation and control systems; 2) Principles, practices, techniques and instruments used in monitoring, troubleshooting, testing and calibrating instrumentation and control equipment and components; 3) Operational principles of RTUs, PLCs, and VFDs; 4) Principles and practices of operation software and programming; and 5) Two-way and multi point radio systems. Position includes working in an office environment and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
