Another Source’s client, Sabey Data Centers is recruiting a Data Center Building Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Quincy, Washington. This is an on-site position working in Quincy a majority of the time with the expectation to travel to the Wenatchee location as needed!

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $58,536 - $84,877, commensurate with experience.  

Position Summary:  
The Building Engineer supports the day-to-day maintenance of both East Wenatchee and Quincy properties including oversight on performance of contracted vendors. Areas of responsibility include all building common areas, roofs, and campus grounds. The Building Engineer reports to the Director of Operations.  

Principal accountabilities 
Conduct routine inspections of common areas, grounds, and tenant spaces for cleanliness and good repair.  
Respond to tenant requests and DC Ops requests for property management services.  
Perform break-fix as needed and routine maintenance  
Coordinate and support the work of outside contractors and vendors such as landscaping, janitorial, snow removal, roofing, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and auto mechanic, and inspect for completion of assignments.  
Assure that the assigned property is operating safely and efficiently and that all scheduled preventative maintenance functions are completed fully and in a timely manner.  
Develop scope of project – work with vendors to establish pricing on upcoming budget items. Monitor budget and ensure budget is accurate.  
Generate maintenance records and operating logs.  
Maintain g-drive, i-drive, SharePoint, Yardi, and budgets.  
Inventory tools and supplies regularly. Maintain onsite tools and equipment.  
Coordinate and implement Fire Life Safety Programs established for the property in accordance with local codes. Understand and implement all emergency procedures including familiarizing tenants with these procedures! 
Order building supplies and materials as needed.  
Submit information on overall repairs and maintenance and capital proposals for consideration in budget process.  
Participate in the duties of the on-call engineer, performed after regular business hours, as assigned.  
Participate in and follow the Policy of Procedures as established by the property management group and amended as needed.

Main Functions 
Ability to perform labor intensive tasks including but not limited to, climbing ladders, fixing plumbing, painting buildings.  
Ability to use technology including operating computers and smart phones – text, email, send and receive photos.  
Ability to travel between property sites  
Ability to operate power tools  
Ability to stoop or crouch for any amount of time  
Ability to maneuver up to 50 pounds  
Ability to occasionally work in wet, hot, humid, or cold conditions  

Minimum qualifications 
Experience providing building services or facilities operation  
High school diploma or GED  
Valid WA state driver’s license, a clean driving record, and auto insurance  
Self-motivated and ability to work independently without close supervision.  
Customer and personal service skills – knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.  
Computer Literacy – working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project  
Decision making and trouble shooting skills, especially for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
