Job Description

An employee who is primarily assigned to gas construction duties associated with repairing, replacing, retiring, maintaining and construction of gas pipeline facilities. This position will be responsible to ensure that Avista gas construction standards are followed. Provides working direction to crew(s) or other operations personnel necessary to manage projects and ensure a high level of responsiveness to customer needs. Performs job site inspections to ensure contractors are following current digging regulations and construction procedures. May perform locating and marking of gas facilities and other duties as required.


Requirements
Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license. Requires two years experience performing gas street construction work, including duties associated with the repair, replacement, retirement, maintenance and construction of gas pipeline facilities. Must be able to read and understand project plans, field grades, and station markers. Must be able to recognize conflicts with other utilities. Required to be operator qualified in related construction and maintenance tasks.

Construction Specialist must live within 15 miles of the city limits of their established Company Construction headquarters.
