Job Description:
Well established Metal Manufacturing company is looking to hire a CNC Programmer to join the team.

Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

Analyzes job orders, drawings, and blueprints.
Creates instructions for operators.
Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
Communicates with those that will use the programs.
Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software.
Determines sequence of operations.
Determines tools to be utilized.
Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.
Evaluates all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and money.
Monitors all programs to make sure they follow specifications and instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

Bachelor’s degree in computer programming or computer related field preferred.
Knowledge of electronics and tooling.
Experience in programming. (Metal fab programming experience is a plus)
Excellent reading comprehension skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Experience with CAD/CAM programming software.
Mechanically inclined.
Basic knowledge of metal shop work.
Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.
Highly detail oriented.
Knowledge of CAD software.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
