Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Assembly Technician I is to assist in the assembly process of Cummins engines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
•Ensure that all work is properly performed.
•Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area
•Work day shifts and overtime, as required.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Dependable Attendance, maintain accurate job times by company software
•Own the personal tooling necessary for job duties (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, impacts, etc.
•Knowledge of mechanics and basic shop mathematics.
•Ability to navigate Cummins SIS.
•Ability to follow company instructions and procedures.
•Strive for continual improvement within all areas of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
•One (1) year experience in engine assembly or other related disciplines (disassembly) required.
•Meet the skills / knowledge / ability essential functions and responsibilities required.
•Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with company policy, procedure and performance expectations required.
•Ability to lift up to 50# is required.
