Job Description:
The Entry Level Electrical Controls Engineer assist with developing and installing electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery for all Quantum systems. Will also assist with the technical support of Quantum Electrical and Control systems.

Core duties include but are not limited to the following:
Electrical engineering design support
Develop PLC programs and related HMI (human machine interfaces).
Draw cable and schematic plans for use in the construction and installation of controls.
Design, construct, test, and troubleshoot electro-hydraulic controls systems.
Prepare part numbers and compile bills of materials (BoM) within the company’s material control and purchasing process.
Perform on site testing and troubleshooting worldwide.
Develop circuit and installation drawings conforming to industry and international standards.
Work with survey requirements and be familiar with required drawings standards.
Work proficiently with all types of motors and drives.
Analyze and recommend solutions to circuit and controls challenges.
Work cooperatively with other engineers to create electrical systems and products.
Provide technical support to Service Technicians for service and warranty queries.
Provide internal and customer training and training support material when required.
Assist with support documentation including equipment manuals for customer distribution.
Any and all duties as reasonably assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical degree.
Marine background and experience not required but is preferred.
0-2 years of experience in field or related area.
Ability to read, analyze, review, and interpret hydraulic, mechanical and other technical drawings, documents, regulations, and journals is required.
Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD preferred, not required.
