Job Description:
Zap Energy is currently looking for an experienced, accomplished, self-motivated Technician with detailed knowledge and experience with high voltage electrical/electronic, control systems. Working with Zap Energy scientific and technical staff, the Technician will assist in implementation of Zap Energy high voltage power supply systems and design, construction, implementation, troubleshooting, general electronics and electrical systems. The ideal candidate is an organized, inventive problem solver, capable of working through technical challenges and employing sound, pragmatic solutions through team efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist Zap Energy scientific and engineering staff with design, fabrication and operation of high-voltage pulsed-power systems and high vacuum systems.
Equipment testing and maintenance
Inventory management (maintaining stocks of supplies, vendor lists, etc.)
Assist in Zap Energy experimental operations
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
2+ years' experience as an electrical/mechanical Technician
Experience with electronics, vacuum pumps, AC electrical power and cabling
Experience with hand and machine tools
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical devices
Preferred:
Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
Bachelors in Engineering, Physics

The estimated salary range for this position is $72k - $80k. Candidates may be considered for other positions at Zap Energy and actual salary will be based on relevant education, experience, and other qualifications. Range is published in accordance with Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act.
