Collection Maintenance Trainee / Technologist I/II

$3,818.00 - $6,881.00 Monthly
The City of Santa Cruz is currently hiring for Wastewater Collection Maintenance Trainee/Technologist I/ Technologist II in the Wastewater Collection Division of the Public Works Department. Under direct supervision, the Wastewater Collection Maintenance Trainee/ Technologist I/Technologist II performs a variety of routine to skilled work in the inspection, construction, maintenance, and repair of the City's wastewater collection and stormwater systems; and performs related work as assigned.
This position requires a valid Class C driver's license at the time of application and a California Class B Driver’s License with the appropriate endorsements by the end of twelve (12) month probationary period.
Possession of a valid California Class B driver's license is not required at time of application. The department will work with you to obtain a Class B license by the end of probation. A DMV report is not required at the time of application but will be required for the selected candidate.
