ORTHOPEDICS NORTHWEST: Computer Support Technician/Materials Coordinator - Yakima, WA

Job Description:
This position is a dual role. The Computer Support Technician will troubleshoot and maintain the organization's computer systems. Additionally, as the materials coordinator, you are responsible for managing inventory and purchasing of materials and other supplies within the company, responsible for restocking products, logging orders, and tracking clinical inventories levels.

None

Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains computer systems, installs new hardware, and modifies existing hardware, and related software and applications.
Maintains listing of all copiers, computers, and printers in service and updates regularly.
Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
Knowledge of Windows computers - including troubleshooting, reimaging, and system prep.
Communicates with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing users and accounts.
Collaborates with network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes.
Sources IT equipment and components and works with appropriate personnel to acquire through contracted vendors first, then other non-contracted vendors.
Manages copier maintenance program through appropriate vendor.
Manages recycling of printer toner cartridges.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports Shortel phone system as needed.
Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications
Coordinate and supervise receiving and storage procedures
Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
Basic understanding of the Windows operating system.
Excellent workstation troubleshooting skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:

Associate degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
At least three years of experience in computer maintenance and user technical support preferred.
A+, and/or similar certifications highly preferred.
At least 2 years of experience with materials management/supply chain/logistics preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
May be required to work on-call, or long hours/weekends in case of system malfunction.
