We currently have a Machinist position available in our facility in Pasco, WA.



As a Twin City Foods (Pasco Division) Machinist your main purpose is to maintain proper production by ensuring that the production line equipment is working at full capacity. Fabricating all types of projects to help the processes run more efficiently.



Machinist should have experience with:

Basic maintenance.
Well rounded on lathe, Mill, and Instrumentation.
Welding with, Mig, Tig, Arc
Blueprint reading and drawing.
Hydraulics and Numatics.
Food Processing is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair and installation of processing equipment including:
Chains
Sprockets
Belts
Gear drives and reducers
Motor changes
Bearing changes
Oil and greasing according to Food Safe Guidelines.
Pumps rebuilds and repairs.
Able to work extensive overtime during the season.
Ability to work alone or with a team. Self-motivated.
Moving heavy equipment.
Completing tasks on time.
General housekeeping ensures area is thoroughly cleaned upon maintenance completion.

Food Safety Duties/Responsibilities:

Wear proper food safety PPE.
Use food grade materials (lubricants) when in tunnel areas or any area outside of the maintenance shop.
Maintain good general housekeeping.
Upon task completion, account for all tools, spare parts, materials and shop supplies. Ensure that equipment and work area is clean and free of debris. Return Items to storage and dispose of consumables.
Prevent any product contamination by refraining from the use of tape, wire, string or any other temporary repair. If temporary repair must be used, correct the temporary repair as soon as possible.


Required Education/Training/Certification Qualifications:

Excellent mechanical skills and problem-solving skills with a working knowledge of conveyors, pumps and hydraulic systems. Gearbox, centrifugal pumps and motor rebuild experience preferred.
Must be safety conscious and have a good working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to run your own job. Must have the ability to multitask.
Must be able to spend a good part of the day on your feet. Physical requirements include walking, bending, climbing, crawling and occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
High School Diploma with continued education in industrial maintenance.
Any combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform the duties of the position.
