Job Description:
Patriot Companies LLC is seeking welders to assist in the fabrication and construction of our many products. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding methods and will be capable of working independently and in teams on different projects. The chosen candidate will be expected to work up to 40 hrs/week, depending on project requirements.
Essential Duties:
Safety should be first and a thorough priority
Selection and setup of appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements
Welding project prep, including workspace and material planning, moving heavy material with forklifts, grinding, fixturing, measuring, etc.
Testing and inspecting welded surfaces for flaws
Cutting steel using plasma, oxy acetylene, propane and other cutting methods
Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years welding experience with steel/Aluminum
Competency in : MIG and TIG,
Knowledge of best practices and safety procedures
Experience with manual and power tools
Highschool diploma/GED preferred
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with: o Professional certifications o Successful completion of an apprenticeship or General Mechanic Aptitude

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, twist and bend, as well as talk and hear. The position requires the employee to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
