Tevel Aerobotics Technologies is a multidisciplinary company developing a drone-based autonomous robotic system for fruit picking based on AI technology. We are expanding our US Team for the West Coast of the United States in 2023, with operation in CA (Fresno/Visalia) and WA (Wenatchee/Yakima). During the spring and summer months we will be deploying our systems in stone fruit orchards in the Central Valley of California, picking fruit for our select customers. In August we will shifting our operations to Washington where we will be harvesting apples for our select customers. The company’s customers are major fruit growers.

Job description
This position is for the Fresno/Visalia area primarily. If transferring to Wenatchee/Yakima for the months August - October is possible, that is a clear advantage.
We are looking for a Field Operator to join our California team, to perform operations on the ground in teams of two (2). The Field Operators report to the Operations Manager. The Field Operators are responsible for all aspects of the in-field operation of our systems in customer orchards: from equipment preparations in the workshop, safe transport and deployment, harvest operations, troubleshooting, equipment repairs, communication with customer’s field personnel, and comprehensive reporting of daily issues, malfunctions, other events etc.

Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations in the field - successfully, efficiently, safely
• Liaise and communicate with customers in the field
• Prepare and repair equipment as necessary, whether in the field or in the workshop
• Provide feedback on the system/product from the operator level to the Operations Manager
• Other duties and tasks in the field, office, and workshop as the needs arise

Professional requirements
• Experience in field operations in the ag sector or similar
• Technical capabilities: troubleshoot, diagnose problems, replace parts, repair parts
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English
• Experience with computer operating systems - advantage
• Experience in quadcopter assembly, calibration - advantage
• Experience with drone electronics and soldering - advantage

Personal requirements
• Field operations: you should be comfortable with working in the field, be physically able to endure outdoor climates including hot or cold weather extremes
• Field person: hands-on, loves the outdoors, isn’t afraid to get their hands “dirty”
• Team player - will work in an intimate team of 2-3 people for many hours in the field
• Customer service oriented, able to communicate properly with client’s personnel, demonstrating a high level of customer service attitude
• Willingness and desire to embrace new technologies, detail-oriented, a quick- and self- learner
• Flexible approach, versatility in the face of changes in priorities and tasks
• Highly motivated, able to take charge and lead a team remotely in the field
