Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and correctly processing employee expenses, vendor invoices, and other payments.
Responsibilities:
Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services; ensure accuracy in payment information and approve payments.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Research vendor accounts and discrepancies; contact vendors in order to verify invoices and payment information.
Process system generated payments, checks, and/or wire transfers.
Enter new vendor information and update existing vendor files.
Generate vendor payment reports and prepare month-end accrual entries.
Maintain an organized filing system in line with established accounting procedures.
Respond to vendor inquiries concerning payment and credit terms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
We are currently open to training the right person for this position. Experience would be a plus but is not required. Hourly rate is currently being evaluated and will be dependent on experience.
