VRF SERVICE APPRENTICE
Johnson Barrow is a commercial HVAC Manufacturers Rep Firm that is hiring apprentice or journeymen HVAC technicians with some experience or knowledge of VRF equipment. This position is the perfect opportunity for residential technicians to break into the commercial HVAC field. Extensive factory training will be provided with the goal of creating expert VRF startup and service technicians. VRF technology is a fast-growing field within HVAC, and this is a great opportunity for ambitious and enthusiastic individuals. JB offers stable hours, occasional overtime, and no on-call rotation!

The service technician role is vital to the success of Johnson Barrow due to the direct interaction with our customers. Our service technicians are provided a company service vehicle, ipad, cell phone, laptop, and all tools required to complete their daily work.
Job Duties
Perform installation support, startups, and ongoing service on new commercial HVAC equipment
Perform warranty repairs on new equipment
Document daily work by completing work order tickets and startup paperwork on each job
Provide technical support to customers on site or remotely
Work directly with mechanical contractors, building engineers, service companies, and controls technicians to integrate new equipment into existing or new facilities
Represent JB by serving as a direct customer contact
Keep current with manufacturers' products and related installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair requirements
Preferred Skills
Low Voltage Electrical License or Trainee Card
Experience with multiple facets of the HVAC industry
Experience with standard refrigeration tools.
Experience with VRF systems.
Customer interfacing/ communication skills
Analytical Problem Solving Skills
Ability to work with a team and independently
A positive, customer focused attitude
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of HVAC service technician experience or relevant education
Mechanical and technical aptitude
Ability to drive a company vehicle
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and stairs on a regular basis
