Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 200 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.

The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Master of Arts in Medical Science enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five-state region.

General Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of the Office of Scholarly Activity (OSA), the Administrative Coordinator is expected to provide a full range of clerical, data management, and administrative support to enhance the compliance and ethics, grants and contracts, and research support functions of OSA. Because OSA interfaces with almost all the units on campus, the Administrative Coordinator must be able to work well with a range of offices as well as with the OSA team members (IRB Administrator, Research Development Facilitator, and Grants and Contracts Administrator) who focus on and lead each of the three core functions of the office. 

Essential Job Functions:
· Interprets and applies institutional policies and procedures; composes correspondence and standard reports, places supply/equipment orders, submits facilities requests, processes purchase orders, and travel related paperwork for department staff; maintains and updates all policy and procedure documents
· Assists with the management of OSA's budgets and fiscal records
· Assists with initiation and renewal of OSA contracts (e.g., consultants, software, etc.)
· Assists with management of OSA maintained software packages (e.g., REDCap, CITI, Sitero Mentor, etc.)
· Develops agendas and records minutes at all OSA-relevant meetings as needed
· Serves as the OSA webmaster to ensure the most up to date information is available to the public (such as published policies) and to the campus community via the campus intranet (such as research resources, Seed Program information, forms, templates, etc.)
· Assists with the development and dissemination of the OSA newsletter 
· Assists in planning, scheduling, organizing, disseminating, and implementing OSA events such as grant-development workshops, mentoring program sessions, annual Research Symposium, speaker series, programmatic research area group meetings, etc.
· Assists with human subjects' research administration and grant and contract administration as needed 
· Understands accreditation standards and expectations specific to the university and adheres to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards
· Conducts self appropriately and consistently in accordance with the philosophy and mission of PNWU 
· Other duties as assigned
• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

• Required: Two years of recent general office clerical skills that include knowledge of standard office procedures and practices (a combination of closely related work experience and post-secondary education may be substituted)
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Project Management tracking and reporting)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Preferred: Experience working in higher education
• Preferred: Experience working in research
• Preferred: Prior experience working with academic accrediting organization
