Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.

The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Master of Arts in Medical Science enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

General Summary:
The Student Affairs Coordinator is part of the Student Affairs team and is instrumental towards the success of Pacific Northwest University’s student affairs activities across multiple health science programs. This is a student-facing position that also works directly with faculty and staff to ensure successful delivery of student programs. Timely communication, attention to detail, and sound judgement are requirements of the Student Affairs Coordinator.

The Student Affairs Coordinator is responsible for assisting, coordinating and tracking all student programs both club and non-club, including the Student Ambassador program; participating and assisting in student activities and events; overseeing the student fitness reimbursement program for all students; coordinating MSPE distribution, communications, edits, and document upload for OMS IV students; providing committee support as needed; and providing assistance to students/faculty/staff regarding Student Affairs, policies and procedures. Duties include database management, exporting reports from systems, generating reports in excel, maintaining confidential student records and information, document creation, and merge processing using Word.

Essential Job Functions:
· Participates and assists in student activities and events (i.e., orientation, graduations, award ceremonies, student activities)
· Assists disability services
· Assists with tutoring and advising services
· Create and maintain SGA procedures/manuals/knowledge sharing site(s)
· Assist with SGA elections
· Maintain and track Student Event summary reports
· Maintain and update Student Affairs web pages
· Process Sigma Sigma Phi applications
· Approve and process student event requests
· Assist the Student Fitness Reimbursement Program for all students
· Supports the Site Selection process for students
· MSPE coordination and distribution
· Verbal and written communications in a professional manner
· Navigating and using multiple databases and system software programs while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
· Assists student/faculty/staff regarding questions, policy, and procedures
· Provides committee support as needed
· Serves in committees as assigned
· Understands accreditation standards and expectations specific to the department and adheres to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards
· Conducts self appropriately and consistently in accordance with the philosophy and mission of PNWU
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education:
• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:
• Required: Two years of related experience. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience
