Overview
The HR/Admin Clerk will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks. This position is the representative of first impressions for the organization and a professional appearance and demeanor are critical. The individual is responsible for greeting customers and visitors, performing updates of plant reports in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining plant files for the various departments. The HR/Admin Clerk provides clerical support for all departments of the facility.

The primary duties of an HR/Admin Clerk include:
Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
Provide clerical support to all departments in the plant.
Check timecards for accuracy.
Assist with entering and reconciling weekly payroll hours.
Reconcile temporary hours to invoices and processes for payment.
Process employment verification requests.
Process some employment transactions with Corporate Human Resources.
Initiating corrective/preventive and continuous improvement opportunities through defined/document channels, and actively participate in developing, implementing, and verifying corrective/improvement actions.
Handle all incoming phone calls to the plant.
Supervise vending, cleaning, uniform and water services.
Distribute correspondence and paperwork from the fax, copy machine and printers.
Maintain the printers and fax machine.
Sort and distribute interoffice and outside mail and correspondence.
Greet visitors to the plant and verify they comply with safety policies and procedures.
Maintain visitors’ log.
Provide professional, confidential administrative support.
Manage accurate filing system and document control.
Insure compliance with Corporate Administrative policies and procedures.
Write procedures applicable to administrative functions.
Insure plant workstations have current copies of all applicable procedures.
Generate purchase orders and maintain office supplies and equipment.
0-25% travel may be required.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 to 3 years in administration, preferably in a Human Resources Department. Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.

HR/Admin Clerks are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:
Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
Collaborates well with others proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
