Job Description:
This position is for the swing shift, 2pm - 10:30pm, Monday through Friday with some overtime required as needed.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide mechanical and technical support throughout the production plant to maintain equipment.
KEY DUTIES:
Work safely (assess hazards, isolate hazards, safety as a behavior)
Mentor / Coach / Train all levels of production personnel in equipment setup and functionality
Use CMMS system
Understand and follow GMP / food policies
Provide mechanical and technical support throughout the production plant to maintain equipment. Will also repair and clean roasters, grinders, additional packaging machines, conveyance apparatus, storage systems and all related utilities.
Generate repairs and modifications as necessary.
Execute preventative maintenance and cleaning programs to ensure equipment is kept in excellent working condition at all times.
Operate, organize and maintain workshop with tools, parts and supplies for on-site maintenance and repair.
Assist with equipment installation and facility modifications.
Every employee has a responsibility to report employee safety, food safety and/or quality concerns to their Supervisor/Manager immediately upon identification.
POSITION SKILL/COMPETENCY:
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment operation.
Experience using and understanding OEM manuals, schematics, electrical and mechanical drawings in association with using test equipment i.e., digital multimeters and a wide variety of hand and power tools.
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment operation.
Electrical aptitude.
Ability to work well within a team.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Good verbal communication skills.
Competent in at least three of the following skill sets: mechanical diagnostics and repair, electronic diagnostics and repair, MIG/TIG/ARC welding, fabrication (mill/lathe), etc
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma required, technical or college degree a plus
Previous experience in a manufacturing facility a plus.
Experience with food manufacturing a plus
