Position Overview
The successful candidate for the Sewer Utility M&O Specialist/Electrical position is skilled in the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of a wide variety of electrical systems and associated equipment used in wastewater treatment process and sewer pumping facilities.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Three years of work experience as a maintenance mechanic preferably in a wastewater treatment plant to include two years of experience in the electrical trades, or
Any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the work.
Preferred Education and Experience
Industrial electrical, electrical construction and process control equipment.
Washington State Journeyman Electrician's License
Certification as a Washington State Treatment Plant Operator in Training
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Standard practices, methods, tools and materials used in the electrical/electronics trades.
Occupational hazards and safe working practices and procedures.
Three-phase motors, relay logic, control loops, PLC's and field instrumentation
Instrumentation theory and process control application.
SCADA operations and PLC ladder logic and programming.
This position will be posted continuously until filled.
