This position can be filled as an Operator-in-Training (OIT) or Operator I, depending on experience, qualifications and certification held. The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance activities within the general areas of wastewater treatment plant, sewer collection system, sewer lift stations and other public facilities. The position will require a Washington State Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an “NT” endorsement without airbrakes restriction, within 3 months of hire.

Monthly Salary Range (OIT): $3,655
Monthly Salary Range (WWTP I): $3,838 - $5,144 (2022 Rates/DOE)

40-hour vacation cash-out per year
2.5% Interpreter Incentive Pay (Spanish)
Occupational Certificates/Licenses: Because of the time constraints required to obtain the different certificates, an applicant cannot qualify for Operator Group I without the required time on-the-job experience and completed OIT.
