Job Description:
Position Summary: The refrigeration tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing all refrigeration equipment at the warehouse facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
95%- Maintenance:
Maintain refrigeration equipment.
Monitor and service systems
Check all warehouses for leaks
Rebuild compressors
Troubleshoot mechanical issues within the warehouses
Help with ground maintenance
Respond to alarms within the facility and troubleshooting the issue
5%- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:
Must comply with all John I. Haas, Inc. policies and procedures, including successful passing of pre-employment background check and drug test
Must comply with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and be trained on procedures applicable to the requirements of the position, including managing significant quality, environmental, and food safety aspects.
Work a 40-hour work week and be on-call 24 hours a day.
Physically able to walk around facility, climb on and off equipment, and lift at least 75 pounds.
Qualifications:
Required:
Training in refrigeration field.
Experience with CA (controlled atmosphere) equipment.
Experience rebuilding compressors and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
Knowledge of electrical systems.
Preferred:
Technical degree in HVAC/Refrigeration.
Experience working with hop storage.
