Job Description Summary
The Team Leader, Logistics Audit will partner in process development, policy drafting, and daily execution of logistic audit activities with business partners and carriers. The Team Leader, Logistics Audit will play a pivotal role in driving process automation to best support Logistic Audit’s customer base. Superior communication, presentation and change leadership & management skills are required.

The Team Leader, Logistics Audit is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of invoices from approved carriers, in a manner consistent with approved quality standards and performance requirements. The Team Leader, Logistics Audit may also be required to support or lead the development of the payable function to advance department or organizational goals, objectives, and interests. Finally, the Team Leader, Logistics Audit is also responsible for the day-to-day resolution of stakeholder and supplier issues.

The position will work with Accounts Payable, Operations, Corporate Procurement, Corporate Finance, and external suppliers.

Job Description
- Incorporate Logistic Audit / Finance principles into daily work activities
- Gather necessary information to complete payable requirements, support contracting, support supplier implementation, and support master data management activities as required
- Manage assigned items in accordance with approved Logistic Audit / AP / Finance programs using the established policies
- Oversee Logistic Audit Specialists processing payments, and ensure the payments are made correctly and are made in a timely manner
- Develop guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records
- Validate invoices with contracted agreements and bill of ladings
- Ensure payments are processed on time and accurately to carriers
- Research and resolve any invoice discrepancies in an effective and timely manner
- Verify carrier accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Prepare Journal Entry information to Finance as part of the month end closing
- Train and oversee employees involved in audit/billing functions
- Provide accurate records management relative to the Logistic Audit function in accordance with policies
- Assist with additional projects at manager's direction
- Document and resolve supplier/carrier quality and performance problems using KPI’s, by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Assist in identification and implementation of cost improvement projects
- Assist Operations, Accounts Payable, and Corporate Procurement stakeholders with finance related issues

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Logistics Audit, Accounts Payable or related field
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Ability to learn quickly while also leading and teaching others
- Ability to leverage computer software programs, specifically SAP or a comparable ERP solution, in addition to office productivity tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects
- Ability to influence management and build teams
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead
- Ability to maintain, develop, and execute departmental vision
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
