We are currently seeking candidates for an Equipment Supervisor to join our team in Cold Creek Vineyard in Sunnyside, WA.

What you will do:

Direct, train and supervise equipment operators.
Coordinate and schedule all equipment operations assuring proper set-up, operation and maintenance.
Coordinate and schedule all equipment repair and maintenance; purchase parts; perform minor repairs and maintain the vineyard roadways.
Oversee the application of agricultural chemicals, assuring that pesticides are applied in a safe manner at the recommended rates.
Log and maintain payroll and pesticide application records, documentation, and operational information to electronic data bases.
Ensure understanding and compliance with all federal, state and company policies regarding safe work practices and utilization of equipment, ensuring the understanding and proper use of all personal protective equipment.
Personally handle various equipment operations as needed.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitoring costs related to equipment.
Take on managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Vineyard Manager.
What you will bring:

HS Diploma, technical coursework/degree preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) preferred.
Previous experience working with a wide variety of tractors and implements.
Proven ability to supervise, motivate employees and provide direction.
Computer literacy encompassing Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Possession of a valid pesticide applicator’s license.
Able to walk through vineyards over uneven terrain.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop and bend occasionally
