Job Description:

Asphalt Plant Manufacturer seeking a customer oriented Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician must possess the ability to work with minimum supervision, under pressure, within changing schedules and conditions and with all types of people. Extensive travel throughout the United States, Canada, and sometimes other countries is required.

• Current driver’s license
• Current passport
• Travel by truck, car, airplane or boat
• Must be available to travel 75-100 days per year
• Physical requirements may include but are not limited to: crawling, squatting, standing for extended periods of time, lifting, maneuvering safely in tight spaces, and willingness to work in all seasonal conditions

• Electrical experience
• Hand tool experience
• Read and understand electrical schematics
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
• Mechanical knowledge and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES - (but not limited to)
• Assist electrical fabrication personnel when required to build systems and/or perform system check outs
• Assist customers over the phone with troubleshooting
• Develop good relationships with our customers as well as company personnel
• Communicate product improvement ideas
• Retrofit Control installations
• Plant Startups and training
• Learning to work with our blending control systems and train plant operators on how to run our systems and Asphalt Plants.
• Research trips to investigate and gather required data pre-build to support our Electrical Engineering department.
• Must be willing to operate forklifts, man lifts and use extension ladders.
*Extensive training provided as required
