Employer: WA River Protection Solutions (Hanford)
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is seeking multiple Instrument Specialists. This position will install and maintain highly complex instruments, control systems, and related equipment used in the Laboratory to generate, accumulate, and record scientific date from experimental operations and processes. Assemble instrument components into complex workable systems as designed to accomplish stated results. Work form sketches, prints, or oral instructions. May direct others.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Also needs to meet one of the following requirements:
Completion of a technical school and a minimum of three years of industry experience or
Completion of an apprenticeship with 8,100 documented hours in a recognized apprentice program and a minimum of three years of industry experience or
Five years industry experience in related responsibilities requirements or
Equivalent experience (e.g., military, industry) may be substituted for 8,100 documented hours or any other industry experience requirements
Hanford instrument specialists who are not trained and qualified via a trade school program or equivalent military experience are qualified to perform specific tasks through demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to their assigned duties.
Must be able to qualify as a radiological worker. Must be able to qualify as a hazardous waste worker. Must be able to wear mask.
WRPS is a Federal Government Contractor and therefore required to comply with Federally mandated COVID-19 safety protocols. WRPS employees are required to attest to and provide verification that they are fully vaccinated.
Expertise in electronics, analytical equipment, and instrument calibration is a positive.
