Lakehaven Water and Sewer District has an immediate opening for a Control Systems Technician Lead
position and one (1) Control Systems Technician from ranges I, II, III or IV.

Position placement and pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
As a Lakehaven Control Systems Technician, you will be part of a team that has been recognized by the
National Association of Clean Water Agencies for its environmental stewardship and has been a long
standing member of the American Water Works Association. Lakehaven has a service area population
of over 135,000 people living across a 35 square mile area in south King County, makings us the second
largest special‐purpose water and sewer district in the state. Our water system includes 450 miles of
water mains, 25 active wells and 12 storage tanks, which allows us to meet a current annual average
water demand of 10 million gallons per day (MGD) from the community. Lakehaven also has two
wastewater treatment plants, 27 sewer lift stations, and 350 miles of sewer mains capable of collecting
and treating up to 15.6 MGD. Our employees work hard to produce and treat high quality drinking

The Control Systems Technician Lead ‐ Operates in a lead capacity to Control Systems Technician I, II, III
and IV personnel, motivating staff to meet quality standards and schedules while positively contributing
to solving work related problems. Performs a variety of tasks at a high skill level to maintain and install
electrical controls, calibrate and design instrumentation control systems, modify existing PLC and SCADA
programming, design new programs and installations, and performs various electrical tasks at all District
water and wastewater facilities.
Control Systems Technician I, II, III, IV ‐ Maintain the controls system network, SCADA & PLC Systems,
and instrumentation equipment at our water production facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and
sewer pump stations. This includes calibrating instrumentation controls, troubleshooting and modifying
existing PLC and SCADA programming, maintaining control systems networks, and performing various
other tasks including electrical work as needed to support the District’s Electrical Team.
The successful candidate (depending on the position applied for) should have some combination of the
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) to four(4) years college degree in Instrumentation, PLC and SCADA programming,
Control Systems Networking, and Electronics is desired but not required.
Desired schooling or two (2) or more years experience (depending on position being applied for)
in an industrial environment installing electrical controls, calibrating instrumentation controls,
modifying existing PLC and SCADA programs, modifying control systems networks, and providing
preventative maintenance for industrial control system network equipment.
One (1) or more years experience (depending on position being applied for) in an industrial
control system environment related to the water and wastewater industry is desired but not
