The Role:
The Foundation Fiscal Analyst is responsible for assisting the Foundation Finance Manager with daily accounting activities, financial reviews, analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This position exists to support CWU’s commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment.

Job Duties
- Assists Foundation Financial Manager with the preparation of monthly and annual management reports, including Board and committee reports.
- Assists in the compilation of the annual report and other schedules and information as requested.
- Maintains, monitors and, updates Project ID’s for use in preparing financial reports and associated university reporting

- Assist the Foundation Financial Manager with month-end close
- Assist the Foundation Financial Manager with accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, reconciliations, journal postings, and reporting.
- Provides support to the Foundation Financial Manager on various foundation related accounting activities, including:

Processing Accounts Payable invoices and creating checks
Bank Reconciliation
Projects reconciliation
Preparing reports for internal and external users
Prepares appropriate journal entries monthly
Maintaining PCI compliance updates and credit cards machines
- Other Accounting and University Advancement duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience researching complex accounting reports and communicating with responsible customers.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of accounting software, analysis tools, and the Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated evidence of superior interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and donor relations
Demonstrated willingness and/or experience working with students and/or co-workers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experiences
OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position

Preferred Qualifications
Corporate, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, or other work-related accounting experience
Experience or knowledge of UPMIFA
Experience with Blackbaud software, particularly Financial Edge, and PeopleSoft

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary: $3,144 /month with periodic increases up to $4,083 /month

Schedule/Appointment: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch)

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer work station for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required.
