Position: Service Technician
Reports to: Vice President

The Service Technician draws on technical and product knowledge to repair, calibrate or
commission industrial field devices such as steam traps, flow meters, analyzers,
transmitters, gas detection and control valves. The Service Technician will also participate
in steam trap data gathering and energy audits.
Provides customer support via telephone, email or on-site customer locations for the repair,
setup, calibration and/or full startup of field devices.
Performs energy audits on steam traps and imports field data into custom software
Requires use of various test equipment and calibration devices both handheld and
Uses hand tools to open, repair and restore devices to full working status.
Reads and understands installation, operation and maintenance manuals on devices
such as steam traps, gas analyzers, temperature/pressure/flow devices and valve
Maintain company equipment and document all related activities by completing
paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress and duration.

Associate degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school and/or 1-2
years of experience in electro-mechanical field
Practical knowledge of start-up and commissioning of industrial plant field installed
equipment including steam traps, transmitters, gas detection equipment and valves
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Comfortable working in industrial settings using safe practices.
Comfortable working at heights using a ladder
Willing to travel within CB Pacific territory (Oregon, Washington, Alaska,
Must be willing to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations and
clear criminal record.
This position is physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking,
stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10
lbs., and occasionally lift and or move more than 40 lbs.

This position is conducive to remote work; most of the time is spent at customer
This position’s hours are typically normal business hours, Monday through Friday,
although some emergency work during other days or hours may be required.
