Job Description:
An Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech) is responsible for the day to day electrical maintenance of the plant including but no limited to industrial process controls, instrumentation installations & calibrations, troubleshooting of processes, equipment repair & installations and general electrical building maintenance. Must possess a minimum of an Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) license or better. Degree in industrial process controls and instrumentation (preferred, not required). Repair various types of electrical utilization equipment. Install, repair & calibrate various types of instrumentation per Solenis LLC requirements or other standards mandated by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Troubleshoot industrial control systems. Experienced in the proper methods used for electrical installations. Knowledgeable in the proper techniques & conventions utilized in the wiring of industrial systems. Proficient in PLC & DCS programming, editing and troubleshooting. Responsible for maintaining E&I work order backlog via plant provided work order systems. Maintain electrical and instrumentation material inventories. Maintain required calibration reports. Required to observe safe work practices as outlined in NFPA70E, “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace”  or Solenis LLC safe work practices.

Degree in industrial process controls and instrumentation (preferred, not required).
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Possess a minimum of an Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) license or better
Strong Instrumentation and Electrical aptitude.
Minimum 2 years Instrumentation and Electrical experience required.
Thorough understanding of equipment selection for applications and equipment operation.
Thorough understanding of P&IDs, loop drawings, and electrical drawings.
Thorough understanding of troubleshooting, equipment set-up, instrument calibration, and maintenance methods.
Thorough familiarity with test equipment and measuring instruments used with instrumentation and electrical equipment.
Familiarity with APACS and DeltaV distributed control systems (DCS) a big plus.
Basic understanding of how equipment works and the fundamentals of preventative and predictive maintenance, and equipment calibration.
Thorough level of competency with computer systems.
Thorough understanding of EHS policies.
Experience working with chemical processing equipment preferred.
Must have desire to learn new technology.
Able to work in a team environment with other technicians and maintenance trades, production personnel, management and engineering.
