The LME/Electrician repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical equipment, and facilities in an orderly, timely, and cost-conscious manner. This position has an excellent understanding of production and packaging equipment operation and is skilled in automation controls, electrical trouble shooting and preventative maintenance (PMs).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Performs routine maintenance, repair and installation of all production and packaging equipment.
Responsible for maintaining equipment’s productivity to minimize downtime or malfunctions. Some tasks are required to be performed within rigid time frames to maximize productivity.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Ensure all work areas are clean, safe and following company GMPs.
Maintains accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders. Document all work orders and PM on an electronic PM program.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and maintains a safe working environment.
Responds to maintenance, line stoppage calls and emergency repairs quickly and efficiently.
Possesses a solid electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to review blueprints and understand wiring diagrams.
Working knowledge of PLC functions.
Strong understanding of production and packaging equipment.
Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to speak, write and understand the English language efficiently.
Possesses an LME or above electrical license.
Minimum 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience (Food industry is preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
