IT Customer Support - Journey
The Behavioral Health Administration is seeking an experienced IT Customer Support Specialist to provide IT support and consultation to join our team. This opportunity is for a lead role within our Desktop Support Team.
As the IT Customer Support Specialist, you will provide support at Western State Hospital and our other organizations located on the same campus. IT Customer Support Technicians support all end-user devices, hospital systems, commercial off-the-shelf and proprietary applications, desktop hardware and software, remote access/authentication (Citrix and VPN), telehealth video conferencing, staff mobility support, Outlook / Exchange, Mobile Device Management (MDM), managed print services (MPS), secure file transfer (SFTP), Teams, and provides after-hours standby support as needed to meet the business needs.
Some of what you'll do:
Develop and implement improvements to all desktop support processes
Assign work tickets to desktop support technicians
Provide technical support to business units, end-user hardware, end-use software and access to external applications
Provide support via phone, email, and remote desktop
Adhere to and promote IT and Security standards
Manage life cycle of end user devices
Manage the procurement and deployment of peripherals
Perform security upgrades to workstations, laptops and tablets
Manage active directory groups
Act as the front-line defense in protecting sensitive data and access to resources from staff
What we are looking for:
Professionals with a bachelor's degree in computer science or closely allied field
An associate’s degree in computer science of closely allied field plus four years of experience in desktop and/or application support
Six years of experience in desktop and/or applications support
