Skookum is seeking a driven and positive Assistant Operations Supervisor with a professional attitude. The Operations Assistant Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor in the daily operations supervision of Grounds Maintenance, Pavement Striping, General Maintenance, Cargo Doors, Skookum Abatement Services, Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and Multi-Trade/IQ projects. The Operations Assistant Supervisor must possess high level planning and organizing skills, critical decision-making abilities, work independently, and be able to efficiently manage time and oversee crews for a variety of challenging projects.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting with the creating and updating Site Specific Safety Plans, Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), Waste Information Sheets (WIS), Contractor Hazardous Material Inventories (CHMI), and all other safety and contract related documentation, as assigned and/or applicable.
- Responsible for assisting with job estimates/bidding/scheduling, customer correspondence, material and equipment procurement, scheduling and supervising abatement and multi-trades crews, overseeing abatement and multi-trades jobs, conducting building inspections, collecting asbestos, lead and mold samples, sending samples to lab for analysis and writing building inspection reports, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable in all areas of Facilities Maintenance Operations, Cargo Doors, Grounds, work safety, applicable HAZMAT regulations, and be able to determine proper classifications and work practices for abatement work.
- Responsible for employee life cycle actions and ensuring that company rules, regulations and policies are followed by all employees supervised.
- Oversee ordering and stocking of supplies and materials for Grounds, Abatement, multi-trade, and IQ projects.
- Must be able to perform all the duties of an Asbestos Abatement Worker, Lead Abatement Worker, and Multi-Trade Worker when required.
- Act as Building Manager for Skookum Home Office as well as provide oversight, and coordinate with hired sub-contractors performing work for Skookum.
- Must be able to work: Day/Swing/Graveyard shifts, as well as holidays, and weekends when required.

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess ability to work independently.
- Must have strong leadership skills and work well with people.
- Must be proficient with math, and compute volumes.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of work areas at PSNS, including waterfront areas is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. 50 pounds frequently, 80 pounds occasionally when performing field work.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
