This position leads crews and works in a variety of facilities maintenance work and the installation, maintenance and moving of office furniture. This position will report to the Building/Facilities Operations Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
Here is more about what you’ll be doing:
- Leads facilities-related preventative maintenance programs for the following: equipment, fixtures, and building systems; installation and repair of plumbing and lighting systems, furniture, furnishings, and interiors.
- Performs the minor repairs of various crafts. Provide labor assistance at a semiskilled level. Operate hand, battery, electric, gas, propane and pneumatic tools.
- Coordinate jobs and code compliance with outside and in-house customers such as vendors, contractors, building tenants, trade persons and compliance officials.
- Repairs or replaces broken door hardware, doors, and jambs. Replaces window glass.
- Prepares personnel and equipment records; prepares field and weekly reports.
- Repairs and maintains equipment and tools; orders and picks up supplies.
- Organizes inventory and maintains storage areas for furniture and equipment.
- Reads and interprets blueprints.
- Assist in training subordinates in use of tools, equipment and materials with an emphasis on work procedure methods and safety practices.
- Coordinates and directs minor and major office moves and rearrangements.
- Coordinate and direct crews in the installation, maintenance and moving of regular and systems (modular) office furniture.
- Repairs, maintains, and installs office furniture and equipment.

Required Qualifications: In addition to the skills and experience mentioned above, a successful applicant will have experience that reflects a commitment to creating fair and equitable outcomes and has:
Two years of in general construction and maintenance work with an emphasis on installation, repair and maintenance in a specific trade. (Combinations of experience, training and education will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability).

Certification/License: Current Washington State drivers’ license

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time. Frequently required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Required to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with good interpersonal skills.
Ability to resolve problems.
Ability to effectively prioritize work.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse work force.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Experience working with systems furniture (ex. Steelcase, Herman Miller, AIS).
