Job Posting: Diesel Mechanic
Reports To: Vice President of Operations
Job Overview:
This employee is responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and other farm related equipment. The applicant must have the ability to run diagnostic tests on vehicles/tractors and interpret the results. This job entails major repairs, such as replacing engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems. Employee must also be able to maintain detailed service records and maintain a parts inventory.
Requirements
Associate Degree or Diesel Technology Certificate from a College or Trade School.
ASE Certification Preferred
Valid Drivers License
IT and diagnostic skills
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
Good interpersonal skills
Good organization skills
Compensation
Wage: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Bonus: Annual bonus up to 25% of employees base wage.
Position is: Hourly, full time 40-hour week minimum, time and a half after 55 hours (2022)
Health Insurance: Eligible after 60 day waiting period.
