Job Description:
WSDOT is currently seeking a Fiscal Specialist Supervisor in Ephrata, WA. The Fiscal Specialist Supervisor will be responsible for establishing office procedures, standards, and priorities in the Area 2 Maintenance Office including supervising office staff. This position will support the agency mission by providing administrative, travel and fiscal support to staff, crews, and operations. This position is also expected to consider personal, co-worker and public safety as the first and foremost objective during the planning and performance of all activities in connection with work assignments.

What to Expect
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, you will:
- Responsible for the day-to-day support and management of the administrative, fiscal, and clerical support needs for the NCR Area 2 Maintenance office.
- Oversee and coordinate office operations.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and Maintenance supervisors.
- Oversee Area 2 third party damages, adopt a highway and vehicle permits.
- Coordinate and implement (DOTTime) payroll program (including computer entry of daily labor).
- Coordinate the purchases and payments for materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate control of consumable and stockpile inventory.
- Support hiring processes.
- Prepare and process necessary paperwork and interview packets.
- Prepare and/or proofread correspondence.
- Coordinate internal and external communication links between WSDOT field personnel, staff, law enforcement and other state agencies to facilitate daily and emergency operations utilizing computer, phone.

Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required:
High school graduation or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience performing complex secretarial/fiscal support duties

It is preferred that qualified candidates also have:
Associates degree in accounting or closely allied field
Experience supervising/leading others
Experience processing Payroll

Work Schedule - Either 5-8 hr. days or 4-10 hr. days (may be eligible for flexible work week and telework as available).
