Compensation: Hourly, non-exempt, $22.93 to $27.07 per hour
Work Schedule: M-F, 7a-4pm

Job Summary
Our Certified Coders are responsible for performing medical billing functions to third party payers, including completing the on-site routine and complex forms coding; reviewing itemized bills to verify accuracy and completeness of charges; researching denied or incomplete bills and coding or verifying CPT & ICD-10 coding.

Requirements
Associate's Degree or technical certificate in a related field (billing, coding, medical reception, collections.)
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS, Certified Dental Coder (CDC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or ability to attain certification within 6 months of hire.
At least two (2) years experience in medical billing field or equivalent education/experience
Knowledge of medical/dental insurance, CPT and ICD-10 codes
Knowledge of Credit and Collection procedures
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet browsers & practice-management software
10-key proficiency

Preferred Qualifications
Federal Qualified Health Center experience
Bilingual abilities in Spanish
