Job Description Summary
Repair, maintain and operate plant water and wastewater systems, repair and maintain buildings and grounds.

Job Description
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot plant water systems, including process water, process wastewater, domestic drinking water and domestic wastewater systems.
- Operate and maintain chemical injection and monitoring equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests to determine chemical concentrations and dosing rates.
- Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments.
- Align and balance new equipment after installation.
- Assemble, install, or repair pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Estimate repair costs.
- Obtain parts, supplies and equipment from vendors or plant storerooms.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Repair roofs, windows, doors, locks, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
- Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, offices, or factories.
- Fabricate or repair partitions, or other wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings.
- Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping and snow removal.
- Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Other tasks as assigned

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Possess a working knowledge of computer equipment and computer software.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Must possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Must possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must possess ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must possess a valid WA State driver’s license and pass a ConAgra Foods defensive driving test.
- Able to obtain a Water System Operator’s license as required from the Washington State Department of Health.
