Job Description:
Maintain Company equipment through use of extensive mechanical knowledge and skills to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction. Advise and train customer or Atlas personnel on Company equipment. Aid customer in the ordering of parts and maintenance of parts inventories to ensure efficient and economic use. Prescribe preventive and planned maintenance policies.

• Consistently be a positive representative of Atlas Pacific Engineering Company in appearance (clean uniform, conduct, and personal actions. Work collaboratively and cooperatively with Customer and its employees. Consistently act in a professional manner and provide customers with highest quality of service ensuring success of account(s) and opportunities for future growth in account(s) (when applicable). Consistently maintain a professional appearance as well as follow all customer specific dress code requirements to include clean and neat uniform at start of shift, use of personal protective and food safety equipment/GMPs, hair and facial hair requirements, etc.

• Ensure highest yield and quality by continuously developing knowledge and understanding of different fruit varieties and how they react to their varietal differences in texture, pressure, core temperature and overall ripeness. Utilize this knowledge to effectively troubleshoot performance problems due to fruit and/or fruit related mechanical issues.

• Ensure highest possible up-time performance and unplanned downtime/machine breakdowns by effectively troubleshooting performance issues, continuous overhaul, and maintenance of subassemblies. Recommend or implement improvements to equipment, parts, processing, preventative and predictive maintenance program, etc. to reduce or eliminate repeated issues, increase mean time between failures (if not able to be eliminated), expand field life and effectiveness of parts, reduce repair time, etc.

• Assess the fruit (read fruit) coming off the Atlas machines and make the necessary adjustments on equipment, etc. ensuring highest yield, quality, and effectiveness of equipment.

• Effectively train customer’s mechanics to check all critical machine adjustments daily to obtain maximum machine efficiency with minimum down time during the processing season.

• Effectively train customer’s mechanics on all aspects of the apple peeler and slicer adjustments to optimize machine performance.

• Report service calls to the customer and your maintenance manager via email. Pictures and suggested repairs of services should be communicated to the customers so they know what to work on when you’re not there. Customers should see you and know why you’re calling on them.

• Ensure Customer’s Manuals are consistently up-to-date. Print Service Bulletins upon receipt from Pueblo and put copy in Manual as well as give a copy of bulletin to Customer Maintenance Manager.

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications that have not been done by the customer to ensure equipment performs as efficiently and effectively as possible and to protect the assets and interests of Atlas Pacific.

• Provide accurate, sufficient, and timely information needed to forecast the service, parts and modifications needed for each machine and the training for assigned mechanics.

• Annually inspect and order overhaul parts for Atlas Pacific equipment. Ensure that a complete and thorough overhaul is completed in a timely manner.

• Provide accurate and timely information on all parts usage. Report immediately any part quality problems, as well as any unusual part failures. Parts shipment mistake should be handle immediately so parts are not continuing to be shipped incorrectly.

• Supply all recommended hand tools required to perform duties. If specialty tools are needed, send a written request to your manager

• Be punctual and attend work for each day reported on weekly time cards. If absent from work, make a phone call to your service manager and assigned work location prior to being absent.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all Atlas business/matters as well as Customer business/matters to include but not limited to parts cost and annual parts budget for each customer, all Atlas/internal communications, discussions, issues, conversations, etc. When in doubt as to whether information is confidential speak to a Supervisor or Manager first.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
