Job Description:
Palouse Ranches is looking to hire a full-time Carpenter. The selected individual will share the long-term vision of Palouse Ranches. We are looking for individuals who desire to be part of a great work environment and possess integrity.

Summary
The Carpenter role will require the chosen individual to install roofing and siding of Palouse Ranches structures, while continually improving plant systems and operations. Maintain quality and safety standards by creating/following workflow protocol, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:
-Install roofing and siding on Palouse Ranches structures.
-Improve current work flow and establish more efficient systems.
-Work with management to create new products as well as improve current products.
-Manage and plan work orders effectively.
-Maintain hand and power tools.
-Operate forklift and overhead hoists.
-Keep the work environment clean, safe, and orderly.
-Communicating to management about manufacturing and quality issues as they arise on a consistent basis.
-Must be able to work 40+ hours per week. (Monday-Friday).

Education, experience and skills required:
-Strong basic math skills.
-Able to operate basic hand and power tools. (Tape measure, impact driver, drill, circular saw, etc)
-Must have roofing and siding experience, particularly with metal.
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Able to follow written and verbal details to complete assignments.
-Work independently as well as a part of a team.
-Able to troubleshoot and solve problems.
-Possess a keen sense of attention to detail and take pride in his/her work.
-Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines while having a sense of urgency when needed.
-Must be dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Physical Capabilities and Requirements:
-Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50-75 lbs.
-Must be able to be on your feet, sit, stoop, crawl and work in various positions throughout the work day.
-Must be able to climb up and down ladders and move around on platforms.
