1.High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
2.A graduate of trade school training in related field is required.
3.Minimum of two-years’ experience as an industrial mechanic/refrigeration is preferred.
4.EPA card (EPA Clean Air Section 608) holder to allow legal purchase of Refrigerant.
5.Familiarity and ability to work on different systems such as Boiler, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Fabrication/Welding, Electrical, and may include the use of instrumentation devices and system calibration.
6.Ability to adapt to changing paces and follow written and verbal instructions given by the Refrigeration Mechanic or Director of Facilities.
7.Team player with positive attitude, obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
8.Proficient in written and verbal communication skills including use of email.
9.May be required to respond to unplanned breakdowns with a sense of urgency including but not limited to nights, weekends, holidays, and extended daily hours.
10.May cover vacation and sick leave of Refrigeration Mechanic.
11.Keep an open mind and remain teachable/coachable in any scenario.
12.Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, etc.
13.Proven written skills to accurately document and complete required paperwork.
14.Able to maintain clean driving record due to inter-site equipment and must pass random drug testing.
15.Stand/stoop for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs regularly.
16.Comfortable with heights in lifts and ladders.
Assists the Refrigeration Mechanic for machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, parts inventory, provide service in a safe, reliable and efficient manner in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, SOPs, policies and procedure.
1.Assist Refrigeration Mechanic or production personnel with maintenance projects, maintenance work orders, and emergency maintenance call for both SS and YK facilities including general maintenance for the office and grounds.
2.Assist Refrigeration Mechanic in performing preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.
3.Assist Refrigeration Mechanic in troubleshooting breakdowns and equipment problems on various areas. Repair equipment.
4.Maintenance work may include interaction with different departments throughout SS and YK.
5.Use of eMaintenance Software and other applicable software to the department.
6.It may entail going into town for picking and/or ordering these parts.
7.Be able to operate forklift, man lifts, snorkel lifts, and other related machinery.
8.Keep tools organized and put away when not working on a job.
9.Housekeeping: Keep working areas clean and organized.
10.Coordinate with the Refrigeration Mechanic or Director of Facilities for any maintenance task.
11.Notify your supervisor if you identify or recommend ways to improve process efficiency or safety related issues.
12.Practiced in safe work habits including LO/TO, Hot Work, Confined Space, and other company Safety Policy and Procedures.
13.Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
14.May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
15.Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
16.Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
17.Must adhere to all company policies.
18.Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
19.Follow all SOPs in a given area.
20.Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
