Taco Time NW is seeking a HVAC & Refrigeration Mechanic at our Corporate Headquarters in Renton, WA. The individual in this position will be responsible for all refrigeration & air conditioning systems at our restaurant locations. The mechanic will perform all scheduled routine maintenance as well as installs, repairs, to all refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
Maintenance of HVAC equipment including light trouble shooting, as necessary.
Responds to HVAC systems complaints by inspecting the work site to assess the job requirements; performs troubleshooting of systems by reading and interpreting control logic diagrams, wiring schematics, and written instructions.
Perform facilities HVAC emergency shutdown and start up processes.
Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all HVAC equipment, including changing of filters, belts and cleaning condensers and coils.
Ensure proper operation of facility HVAC systems: inspect and repair pumps, motors, valves, heating and air conditioning equipment.
Repair Refrigeration Equipment and understand refrigeration cycle
Investigate problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating and cooling systems.
Ensure systems remain in compliance with local codes.
Perform cleaning to the return air register as needed.
Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of fuel equipment.
Monitor and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
Installs, services, and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.
Other duties as assigned
2 or more years of HVAC and refrigeration experience.
Universal EPA Certification.
Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Thorough knowledge of commercial refrigeration, commercial HVAC, and related commercial restaurant equipment systems.
Must be self-disciplined, highly organized, responsive, and possess the ability to take initiative in dealing with routine issues as they are discovered.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work on-call on an as-needed basis.
Must have the ability to travel within a defined district.
Requires walking, standing, squatting, bending and kneeling with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Experience working in a help desk system.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.
