Western States Automation provides industrial customers with engineered process control valves and instrumentation, with an in-house fabrication facility that allows us the ability to promote self-engineered custom valve automation assemblies. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Boise, ID, we have become the preferred supplier of engineered products to our target customer base in the PNW and have sole source status in many accounts due to our unique offering. Currently, WSA is generating an annual revenue of ≈4-5M dollars. In the next five years, WSA plans on growing to 10 employees and will be an estimated worth of 7M dollars. Our key clients in the territory include McCain Foods, Lamb Weston, and J.R. Simplot.

We are looking to hire an Account Manager to manage and grow sales for Eastern Washington and N. Idaho. Travel is minimal (mostly day trips) and the compensation associated with this position is competitive with the market and will be decided during the interview process based on skills and experience. This is a remote position from the company HQ with the person working from a home office.

• Maintain and grow relationships with customer within key accounts
• Use a consultative approach to understand a prospects challenges and pain points, and work with the technical team to develop a solution
• Works with 20 – 40 clients each month to deliver sales presentations and close deals
• Responsible for new business development of $500,000 per year
• Help increase market share in designated territory distribution by 50% by the year 2024
• Build rapport and open doors with new clients

• Establish relationships with target prospects and secure business with new customers that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets
• Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sale
• Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
• Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales
• Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each
• Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects
• Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements
• Make presentations to senior managers and decision makers
• Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions

• Two to five years of sales or marketing experience is desirable
• 2 yr technical degree or equivalent of combined education & experience
• Experience trouble-shooting process control loops and recommending solutions

• Trouble-shooting technical problems in process control loops
• Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation/demo
