AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in
the design, fabrication, and operation of water and wet waste treatment equipment for
government and commercial clients, is searching for a Pipe Welder/Fitter interested in
joining our team in Richland, WA. Candidates must have a minimum of two to five (2-5)
years’ experience in welding/pipe fitting. Multi-process capabilities include, but are not limited
to, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW. Candidate’s work must be able to pass x-ray. Pressure
vessel experience preferred. Applicants must have the ability to read and understand structural
and pipe prints as well as piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Candidates must be able to provide a great level of attention to detail and be able to focus on
the given task. Applicants must be able to keep their work area clean and organized and take
proper care of all equipment and facilities. Additionally, applicants must be able to work with
team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. The ability to produce quality products
consistently is also important as well as a willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her
abilities. NQA-1 experience preferred but not required.
The ability to ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards is critical. Candidates
must be able to follow, create, and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications. Experience
operating standard shop equipment including forklift, crane, and bandsaw important. Applicants
must also be able to work in confined spaces. All applicants must be able to pass a welding test,
a pre-employment drug test, as well as random drug tests.
A high level of safe working practices and procedures awareness necessary.
