Job Description:
Columbia Energy and Environmental Services, an established woman-owned small business headquartered in Richland, WA, which offers full-service engineering, design, fabrication, instrumentation and controls, and technology development, currently has a need for additional Welder/Fabricators, due to additional contracts and projects received.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
•Performs welding on critical and support equipment to a qualified Welding Procedures Specification (WPS)
•Performs structural welding on parts and components per the requirements of specifications as prescribed by Project Travelers per Engineering Drawings and Work Orders
•Reading and understanding of engineering drawings and welding symbols
•Fabricates manufacture welded parts from engineering drawing without direct supervision
•Performs fusion welding and torch brazing for support equipment ensuring the procedure is completed per the requirements of the National Welding and brazing codes and specifications
•Knowledge of the materials to select the correct filler materials and shielding gas when generating the WPS and produce critical welds
•Assist in the development process of generating WPS as mandated by welding codes and specifications
•Determine the sequence of welding in order to prevent or reduce the amount of warp to the weld
•Designs and fabricates weld holding fixtures as necessary to perform individual welding projects
•Performs pre heat and post weld stress relief operations and maintains weld records
•May inspect welds of less qualified welders
•May perform duties such as training in various welding processes
•Occasional travel for site work and training

Required Qualifications
•3-5 years of welding experience with current certified welds
•Maintain ongoing welding certifications

Working Conditions:
This position is performed in a construction/fabrication shop setting with frequent relocations to project, Vendor and Industrial sites. The atmosphere is fast paced and deadline oriented with focus on safety and quality.
